Queue manager clustering Learning objectives: After completing this unit, students should be able to: • Explain the purpose and use of clustering • Define a cluster and list the components involved • Describe the difference between a full and a partial repository • Outline the steps required to set up a basic cluster • Define the queue manager attributes that are related to the cluster • List queue and channel definitions • List the commands used to control clusters • Describe the administration tasks that must be considered in • Describe how clusters assist with workload management • List the attributes that affect the workload balancing algorithm • Explain how application considerations play a role in workload Exercise . IBM WebSphere MQ clustering setup Learning objectives: After completing this exercise, students should be able to: • Use runmqsc to create a queue manager cluster • Test a cluster environment using WebSphere MQ utilities Part 2.
